I wasn't ready when you stopped by
you caught me off my guard
But you know you're welcome anytime
you're held in great regard.

Today when I first saw you there
as though you'd never gone
My heart was full of boundless joy
and I welcome your sweet song

I trust each year that when you go

My little Robin on the lawn
